5. Do the Schoolies get a wristband and Building ID Pass?back to the topThe wristbands are issued by the Qld Government so every Schoolie with school ID will receive a wristband. BookSchoolies.com provides a Building ID pass which enables them to access the building they have chosen to stay at. *Some properties outside of the Gold Coast area may not require a building ID pass.

As a specialist we know what to do to make sure that the Schoolies have an amazing and memorable Schoolies week. We also know what is required to ensure that the event is enjoyed in a safe environment. Security precautions will be in place throughout the Schoolies event including security guards at all buildings. Photo ID building entry cards will also be provided to all Schoolies guests.

11. How do I book?back to the topYou can book your Schoolies week accommodation by logging onto our website via the travel agents log in ta.bookschoolies.com
12. How much deposit do I need to pay to book?back to the topYou will be required to pay a $110 per person non refundable deposit at time of booking.
13. How do I pay the deposit?back to the topThe deposit must be paid at the time of booking using either Visa or Mastercard.
14. How do I make further payments?back to the topYou can make further payments on our website at anytime by logging in via the travel agent area ta.bookschoolies.com Payments can be made using Visa or Mastercard.
15. Do you have any other payment methods other than credit card?back to the topYou currently can only make payments with a credit card. In the future we may have other methods and we will keep you informed about this.
16. What is the deadline for final payment?back to the topFinal payment must be received 60 days prior to the travel date.
17. What happens if I do not pay by the due date?back to the topThe booking will be at risk of being cancelled. All people in the group must have paid in full to prevent the booking from cancelling.
18. How can I view a booking?back to the topYou can view your booking by logging into ta.bookschoolies.com and entering your email address and password.
19. Can I make changes to a booking after it has been made?back to the topYou will be able to make the following changes to your booking by logging into the booking via the travel agents log in area ta.bookschoolies.com
- Edit the name of a group member
- Change the contact details of members of the group
- Cancel a group member
- Cancel a room
- Make further payments
- Replace a person
- Add Insurance
- Remove Insurance
Some changes may incur a $50 amendment fee per person, per change
20. What happens if my client wishes to change buildings?back to the topBuilding changes are permitted. There is an amendment fee of $50 per person. All building changes must be receive in writing to info@bookschoolies.com
21. Is there a deadline for any changes?back to the topChanges are not permitted within 60 days of travel.
22. How many people can stay in a room?back to the topThe room description will include information about the maximum number of people that can share a room. Due to fire and safety regulations, this number cannot exceed the maxmium. Any students found to have more than the maximum number of people in their room will risk eviction and loss of any monies paid.
23. How much is the bond and what is it for?back to the topThe bond of $200 per person is required to be paid 60 days prior to arrival. This is to cover any incidental charges or damages.
24. How do I get the bond back?back to the topDetails on how to be reimbursed for the bond will be provided to you in November 2010
25. What happens if I need to cancel a schoolies booking?back to the topIf the booking is cancelled outside of 60 days the deposit will be forfeited. If the booking is cancelled within 60 days of check in, full payment will be retained by Book Schoolies.com. Cancellations must be advised by email to BookSchoolies.com, alternatively you may cancel anyone by logging into the booking via the website
26. What happens if one of the people in the booking wants to cancel their place?back to the topIf a member of a group wishes to cancel, the per person price for the remaining members of the group will increase. Any cancellations will be subject to loss of deposit or full payment, subject to the date the cancellation is made. Alternatively, if the group can find another person to replace the member of the group that wishes to cancel, simply use the 'replace' person button to change the name on the booking. In this instance the deposit will be transferred to the new person. Name changes are not permitted within 60 days of travel.
27. Can I edit a name on the booking?back to the topTo edit a name on a booking simply select the booking from your list of bookings, then select the edit details button. If you change the name completely, the travel insurance will be invalid. If you wish to change a name completely, please use the 'replace' button.
28. Why has the per person balance owing increased?back to the topThe per person balance owing may have increased if a person has cancelled from a room. If another person is found to replace this person the balance owing will change again. The cost of the accommodation is calculated on a per person basis, not per room.
29. What happens if I cancel a person in the group after full payment has been made?back to the topIf a person cancels within 60 days of check in, full payment will be forfeited. If a person cancels outside of 60 days of travel and full payment has been received, all monies will be refunded less the non-refundable deposit and insurance (if applicable).
30. Can I move a booking to a different date?back to the topSubject to availability, you may be able to move your booking to a different date. There is an amendment fee of $50 per person to do this.
31. What are house rules?back to the topHouse rules are the building's individual terms and conditions which the students agree to abide by during their stay. You must ensure that the members of the group have read the house rules for their building. By confirming a booking, you are confirming that the members of the group have read and agree to these rules.
32. Should my clients take out travel insurance?back to the topBookSchoolies.com recommends that all travellers take out travel insurance. For more information regarding our special schoolies travel insurance for $29 per person click here.
33. When will I receive the travel documents?back to the topThe travel documents will be made available on our website 21 days before check in. Documents will not be made available until full payment has been received for all members in the group.
34. How do I know credit card details are safe on your website?back to the topBookSchoolies.com uses SSL for all credit card transactions. SSL is a secure method of transmitting information over the internet. BookSchoolies.com does not store any credit card information.
35. Where do the Schoolies events take place?back to the topTraditionally the Gold Coast in Queensland has been the most popular destination for year 12 graduates. BookSchoolies.com offers a huge choice of the most popular buildings in the Gold Coast, plus a great range of alternative destinations including Byron Bay, Sunshine Coast, Airlie Beach & Bali.
36. How do I receive my commission?back to the topYou only need to pay us the nett due, so you retain your commission.
37. Do you have a travel brochure?back to the topWe currently do not stock a travel brochure, but pdf flyers are available for you to download on our website. We also have flyers we can send to you in the post.
